Embodied, Relational Gestalt
Therapy in Toronto
A Collaborative, Non-Judgemental Space
for Wholeness and Connection
therapy in toronto
feel yourself where you are
Welcome — I’m Alison Taylor (she/her), a Gestalt therapist in Toronto, offering embodied, relational psychotherapy for adults seeking support around anxiety, trauma, and the challenges of being human in relationship.
My practice invites curiosity, collaboration, and co-creation. I offer a non-judgemental and non-pathologizing approach to therapy — one that honours your wholeness, your history, and your capacity to discover new ways of being.
What Is Embodied, Relational Gestalt Therapy?
Embodied, relational Gestalt therapy invites you to slow down, feel into your experience, and explore what’s present in your body, emotions, and relationships.
Together, we bring curiosity to your sensations, thoughts, and movements to understand how you’ve adapted to your environment and what supports your growth now.
This approach is:
Collaborative and co-created, meaning we shape the work together
Curious and compassionate, exploring without judgment
Non-pathologizing, viewing your patterns as creative adjustments — responses that once made sense
Embodied, inviting awareness of your physical and emotional experience as a pathway to change
Areas of Curiosity
I work with adults (18+) exploring:
Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
Trauma and relational trauma
Relational wounding and attachment patterns
Relationship challenges and communication
Disconnection, loneliness, and belonging
Sense of self, identity, and self-knowing
Wholeness and integration
Search for meaning and purpose
Creative adjustment and self-discovery
Therapy with me is about discovering how your experiences make sense — and finding new ways to support your growth, resilience, and capacity for connection.

How Therapy Can Help
Embodied, relational therapy can help you:
Understand your anxiety as meaningful communication from your body
Build capacity to stay present with overwhelming feelings
Explore how you relate to others and to yourself
Reconnect with your creativity, intuition, and vitality
Develop awareness, self-compassion, and choice
This work supports self-discovery and self-knowing, helping you move from disconnection toward a deeper sense of wholeness.
A Non-Pathologizing Approach
In my practice, we move away from seeing you as a problem to be fixed. Your patterns and responses are viewed as creative adjustments — adaptive ways of surviving and belonging that may no longer serve you as they once did.
Through curiosity, compassion, and embodied awareness, therapy becomes a process of integration: a returning home to yourself.
Begin Where You Are
Whether you’re seeking therapy for anxiety, trauma, relational wounding, stress, or the search for meaning, this is a space to arrive as you are — without judgment, without needing to have it all figured out.
Through embodied, relational Gestalt therapy, we’ll explore your lived experience, your relationships, and your capacity to live with authenticity and presence.
