 ~ statement of commitment ~

I am committed to challenging oppression in myself, in others, and in systems.

This includes, but is not limited to, racism, sexism, classism, sizeism, homophobia, transphobia, heterosexism, ageism, ableism, and gender oppression.

I aim to promote consent, dignity, respect, equity, caring, justice, and promotion of self-worth for all.

I am open to exploring any issues you may bring to our work together through an empathic, non-pathologizing, non-judgemental lens.

I stand for humanity.  I stand for wholeness.  Difference is what makes connection and belonging possible, so that we can show up fully as our true selves.

I live, work, and create on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnaabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, which is also now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Tkaronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.  As a person who benefits from this land, which is part of the Dish With One Spoon territory, I am committed to honouring this treaty with continued respect, learning, and awareness.
