Embodied, Relational Gestalt Therapy
in East York, Toronto
Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma, Relationships, and Wholeness
location makes a difference
feel yourself where you are
Welcome — I’m Alison Taylor (she/her), a Gestalt therapist in East York, Toronto, offering embodied, relational psychotherapy for adults seeking support with anxiety, trauma, relational wounding, stress, and the search for meaning and purpose.
My practice is grounded in the belief that healing happens through awareness, relationship, and co-creation. Whether we meet in person at my East York therapy office or online across Ontario, our work together begins from right where you are.
A Collaborative, Co-Created Approach
Embodied, relational Gestalt therapy is a collaborative process. It’s not about being fixed — it’s about being met where you are.
In our sessions, we explore what’s happening in your experience right now: sensations, feelings, thoughts, and patterns of relating. You are invited to bring your whole self — including the parts that feel uncertain, disconnected, or in transition.
Together, we can explore:
how you experience connection and disconnection
what happens in your body when you feel anxious or overwhelmed
how your early experiences shape your sense of self today
what meaning and purpose you are longing to live into
how to move toward wholeness and choice
Therapy with me is a space of collaboration, curiosity, and co-creation. We attend to what emerges between us, moment to moment, trusting that healing unfolds through awareness and relationship.
Areas of Specialization
I offer embodied, relational therapy for adults navigating:
Anxiety and stress
Trauma and relational trauma
Relational wounding and attachment challenges
Overwhelm and burnout
Relationship and communication difficulties
Disconnection, loneliness, or isolation
Exploration of self, purpose, and meaning
Wholeness and integration

Whether you’re arriving from The Beaches, Riverdale, Leslieville, or anywhere in Toronto’s east end, the space is designed to support grounding, reflection, and the freedom to be yourself.
In addition to in-person sessions, I also offer online therapy across Ontario and outdoor therapy in nearby parks and trails, including Withrow Park, Taylor Creek Park, and Lower Don Parklands.
What to Expect
Therapy with me is not about diagnosis or labels — it’s about awareness, relationship, and choice.
You can expect:
a collaborative, non-judgemental space
attention to your body’s wisdom and lived experience
curiosity about how you move through the world
compassion for the patterns that once supported your survival
space to reconnect with your vitality, purpose, and aliveness
Our sessions unfold at your pace, guided by what’s most present for you.
Finding Meaning and Wholeness
Many people come to therapy during times of transition or disconnection — when something no longer fits, or when life feels overwhelming.
Through embodied, relational Gestalt therapy, we explore how you’ve adapted to belong, how you hold yourself back from connection, and how you might rediscover your wholeness.
Therapy can help you:
understand your anxiety as meaningful communication
integrate past experiences with compassion
deepen connection with yourself and others
rediscover your sense of purpose and belonging
You don’t have to do this alone. Healing happens in relationship — through being met and witnessed with care.
