Embodied, Relational Gestalt Therapy
on the Danforth
Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma, and Wholeness in Toronto
therapy on east danforth
feel yourself where you are
Welcome — I’m Alison Taylor (she/her), a Gestalt therapist on the Danforth in Toronto, offering embodied, relational psychotherapy for adults who want to move from disconnection toward wholeness.
I support people navigating anxiety, trauma, relational wounding, stress, overwhelm, relationship challenges, and the search for meaning and purpose. My approach is collaborative, curious, non-judgemental, and non-pathologizing — grounded in the belief that you already make sense, just as you are.
A Collaborative and Co-Created Space
Embodied, relational Gestalt therapy is rooted in awareness, curiosity, and connection. It’s not about fixing or diagnosing — it’s about understanding and meeting yourself where you are.
In therapy, we explore what’s happening in your body, mind, and relationships right now. You’ll be invited to bring gentle awareness to sensations, movements, and emotions, allowing space for your experience to unfold at its own pace.
Therapy with me is co-created: we build the process together. You are the expert on your experience; my role is to accompany you with curiosity and compassion as we explore what emerges in the moment.
Areas of Exploration
I offer individual therapy for adults (18+) exploring:
Anxiety and stress
Trauma and relational trauma
Relational wounding and attachment patterns
Overwhelm and burnout
Relationship challenges and disconnection
Sense of self and identity exploration
Wholeness and integration
Search for meaning and purpose
Creative adjustment and self-understanding
This work is especially supportive for those who feel deeply, think deeply, or have been told they are “too sensitive.”
Therapy on the Danforth, Toronto
My private therapy office is located in East York, along the Danforth, easily accessible from the TTC, bike paths, and surrounding neighbourhoods like The Beaches, Riverdale, Leslieville, and Greektown.
This quiet, welcoming space offers privacy and grounding — a place where you can pause and be with yourself.
In addition to in-office sessions, I also offer:
🌿 Outdoor therapy in nearby parks and trails (Withrow Park, Taylor Creek Park, Lower Don Parklands)
💻 Online therapy across Ontario
Each format supports awareness, embodiment, and connection — wherever you are.
How Therapy Helps
In therapy, we slow down and explore how your experience lives in your body — how your sensations, emotions, and thoughts interact to create your sense of self and your relationships with others.
You may find that as we bring awareness to these patterns, something begins to shift:
You start to feel less overwhelmed and more grounded.
You reconnect with your sense of wholeness.
You rediscover curiosity about your life and your relationships.
Through embodied, relational Gestalt therapy, we approach your experience with non-judgement, compassion, and curiosity, allowing meaning and possibility to emerge naturally.
A Non-Pathologizing Approach
You are not a problem to be fixed.
Your anxiety, your sensitivity, your way of relating — all of it makes sense in context.
My role as a therapist is to help you illuminate what might be out of awareness, so that you can see how your patterns once served you — and what new possibilities are available now.
Therapy becomes a process of integration: reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have been hidden, forgotten, or disowned, and welcoming them back into wholeness.
Begin Where You Are
Whether you live in East York, the Danforth, or anywhere in Toronto, this is a space for you to arrive as you are — without pressure, without labels, and without needing to have it all figured out.
Through embodied, relational Gestalt therapy, we can explore how you move through the world, how you make meaning, and what supports you to live with more freedom, connection, and aliveness.
