gestalt therapy in toronto
you’re in the right place for embodied support
your body is talking. what’s it saying?
in therapy, we are learning to trust our bodies and each other; to hang in through challenge as a way to find connection
Therapy can be more than just talking. Embodied therapy invites you to connect with your body and mind (your wholeness) as sources of wisdom and support. In our work together, we slow down to notice sensations, movements, and feelings in the present moment, so you can discover new ways of responding to life’s challenges with awareness and resilience.
therapy that includes your whole self
Anxiety, stress, or disconnection often live in our body as much as our mind.
Embodied and somatic therapy can support you to:
Notice and understand tension in your body
Deepen your self-awareness and sense of grounding
Connect with your emotions and needs in real time
Create space for new possibilities and choices
awareness in the present moment
Gestalt therapy focuses on what is happening now rather than only retelling past stories. Together, we bring attention to what is happening in your body, emotions, and relationships. This awareness can open up fresh perspectives and new ways of being with yourself and others.
Together we can focus on:
awareness of your mind-body (whole-self) connection
focusing on the here-and-now present moment
building awareness around grounding and self-trust
This experiential, experimental modality supports embodied awareness, honours your lived experience, and trusts that you already make sense—just as you are.
I don’t see therapy as “fixing” you — but as a co-created process of discovery, curiosity, and creative adaptation.

hi, i’m alison
I’m Alison Taylor, a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) offering embodied, somatic-informed Gestalt therapy. I bring empathy, curiosity, and body-sensitivity to our work together. My approach supports you in becoming more present, grounded, and connected in your life and relationships.
Alongside Gestalt therapy, I’m trained in somatic practices including Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy, the Alexander Technique, and Wholeness in Motion. I bring sensitivity, curiosity, and care to each session—meeting you where you are, without judgment or pressure to “fix” yourself.
