anxiety therapy in toronto:

support to help you feel grounded

you’re in the right place for anxiety support

your body is talking. what’s it saying?

in therapy, we are learning to trust ourselves and each other; to hang in through challenge and connection

If anxiety, panic, or constant worry are interfering with your life, therapy can help. I offer a compassionate, relational approach to therapy that supports you in finding relief, building resilience, and reconnecting with yourself.

you don’t have to face it alone

Anxiety can manifest as the feeling of being out on a limb without support.

Or the feeling of being overexposed without a protective layer between you and the world.

These experiences can feel like:

  • racing thoughts

  • sleeplessness

  • overwhelm

  • panic attacks

You are not alone. What you’re experiencing is common, but when you’re in it, it can feel like you’re the only one.

You don’t have to face anxiety alone.

how therapy can help

Gestalt therapy can help with anxiety by bringing awareness to your present-moment experience—your thoughts, body sensations, and relational patterns—so you can better understand how you respond to what’s happening, make conscious the unconscious, and explore supportive ways of being with yourself and others.

Gestalt therapy is a present-moment, relational approach that invites curiosity about how you move, feel, and make meaning of your experience.

Together we can focus on:

  • awareness of your mind-body (whole-self) connection

  • focusing on the here-and-now present moment

  • building awareness around grounding and self-trust

This experiential, experimental modality supports embodied awareness, honours your lived experience, and trusts that you already make sense—just as you are.

hi, i’m alison

I’m a Gestalt therapist in Toronto, registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, stress, and life transitions. My approach is embodied and relational—grounded in the belief that anxiety often makes sense in the context of our life experience. In our work together, I offer gentle, present-moment awareness and supportive challenge to help you explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Alongside Gestalt therapy, I’m trained in somatic practices including Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy, the Alexander Technique, and Wholeness in Motion. I bring sensitivity, curiosity, and care to each session—meeting you where you are, without judgment or pressure to “fix” yourself.
